Holiday Ornament Workshop with Artist Shelia Dow

Join us for a festive time playing with clay! We'll use cookie cutters, texture stamps, and your imagination to make adorable ornaments. Ceramics Artist, Sheila Dow will have lots of ideas and examples on hand to inspire you to create your own designs. Make as many ornaments as you want -- use them as keepsakes or give them as gifts. This is a great activity for families or for groups of creative adults. Please note that you will get 5 glazed ornaments for the $30 registration fee per registration. Your ornaments will stay at MCMA to dry and then get fired in the kiln. We'll ensure they're ready for pickup before December 8, 2023. You can decorate your fired ornaments at home with watercolors, acrylic paint, markers, or whatever other materials you want to use. (They even look nice if you leave the clay plain white!) * A registered adult must accompany registered children. Please also keep the child-adult ratio of your group reasonable for the age and abilities of your young artists. Toddlers are welcome, but children ages 4+ will get the most out of this activity.
