about me
Hi! I’m Diana and I see the Arts as an opportunity to touch, move, and inspire others. I am mostly interested in exploring the emotional aspect of what I observe around me, using classic mediums like watercolors, and oils but also contemporary ones such as spray paints and acrylics. When looking at my paintings ask yourself these questions: if you could imagine yourself within the artwork, what sounds would you hear? How would you feel? What would you be?
My whole life gravitates around creating art. I am fascinated with unassuming moments and am on a quest to capture them, whether they are portraits of people, places, or instances. Painting is an opportunity to witness and capture the uniqueness of being: a quick fluttering in time at the juncture of attention and intent. When observing wholeheartedly, I experience a sense of communion with my subject’s essence. My paintings are glimpses of such extraOrdinary moments, created to bring about a sense of wonder and engage the viewer at an emotional level.
Alongside my studio work, I’ve been bringing together a growing community of art lovers by teaching painting classes and workshops to adults. My goal as a teacher is to facilitate participants to silence their critical inner voice and uncover beautiful images of the self by surrendering to play to they can become fully self-expressed through painting.
