This acrylics course will introduce composition, mixing colors, and painting techniques to make your acrylic work the best it can be. Guided projects and individual instruction will build your skills.

If you need to buy materials, ask first! We’ll chat about supplies during the first class, and you don’t need everything right away. If you already own materials, just bring what you have.


SUPPLY LIST:
various sizes of canvas or canvas panels
brushes: sizes 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 in both flat and round (fiber types are up to you)
PAINTS:
titanium white
cadmium yellow pale hue (sometimes called lemon)
cadmium yellow medium or deep hue
alizarin crimson
cerulean blue
ultramarine blue
sap green
burnt sienna
burnt umber
yellow ochre
Mars black
Hookers green

 

Supplies

various sizes of canvas (8”x10”, 16”x20”, 20”x24”, etc.)
palette
paint rags or paper towels
PAINT COLORS: Titanium white, Sap green, Cerulean blue, Cobalt blue, Alizarin crimson, Cadmium red light, Cadmium yellow light, Naples yellow, Raw sienna, Burnt sienna, Raw umber, Burnt umber
BRUSHES: #5 filbert, #8 flat, #20 flat, #1 round, 1″ chip brush (Home Depot), 2″ chip brush (Home Depot)
