This class is postponed until in-person gatherings are much safer for everyone.

All skill levels welcome! Repeat students are also encouraged to come, as all new subject matter will be offered at each session. Participants can expect to receive individualized instruction on the planning and execution of multiple completed watercolor paintings and exercises. Representational and abstract styles will be explored. Techniques for creating dramatic lighting and mood will be covered, along with exploration of materials through demonstration and practical application.

PAPER: pad of Arches 9”x12” (or 10”x14”) 140lb. cold press watercolor paper (don’t skimp here)

PAINT: artist-quality tube watercolors:
Daniel Smith Brand: Quinacridone Sienna, Quinacridone Gold, Bloodstone Genuine, Green Gold, Neutral Tint
Winsor & Newton:Opera Pink, Dioxazine Purple, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Winsor Orange, Winsor Red

BRUSHES: large mop brush (3/4” or larger), a large round (size 10-12), a small round (size 4-6), and a rigger (size 2)
