For beginners and advanced students, this is where creativity begins! Emphasis will be placed on using a sketchbook to make studies for more elaborate works of art, and to create images that are works of art in and of themselves. Keeping a sketchbook is key to developing an artists’s way of seeing the world of shape, color, composition, and light. We’ll work with ink and watercolor brush pens, but any and all mediums are acceptable including collage, stencils, etc. Sketching will be done at various locations and students will receive both individual and group instruction.
