Event Canceled

In accordance with the CDC and Governor Kemp’s orders, the Museum and its exhibitions will unfortunately not open as previously scheduled on April 4, 2020 and the Opening Reception is canceled. MCMA will instead host a 125th Birthday Celebration for Athos Menaboni on June 13, 2020, 6:00-8:00pm, in order to celebrate the fruition of this grand exhibition and the life and career of Mr. Menaboni.

MCMA is pleased to announce the Opening Night Reception for Athos Menaboni: Framing His Journey Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Birth of a Georgia Artist.   Also opening is MCMA Permanent Collection: Curator Selects…

Admission is free to members or $10 for non-members.  Light hor d’oeuvres will be catered by Carriage House Catering and a cash bar will be available. Tickets are sold at the door.  Doors open at 6 pm. 

In one of the largest Menaboni exhibitions presented to date,  Athos Menaboni: Framing His Journey will share with the community the legacy of a Georgia artist through thoughtful displays and programs that educate the public on Georgia arts and culture, as well as Georgia history.  

This project is supported by Georgia Humanities, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, through funding from the Georgia General Assembly.
