Workshops
MCMA offers a variety of workshops throughout the year.
Workshops are an excellent way to explore new artistic skills, engage with members of the art community and create amazing pieces that can be given as gifts or enjoyed in your collection.
Online pre-registration is strongly encouraged. A $5 fee will be applied for all walk up participants (pending availability).
All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Leatherworking Bracelet Workshop
Make your own leather bracelet from scratch, no experience necessary! You’ll learn the basics of working with leather, including cutting, tooling, edge finishing, and setting snaps. By the end, you’ll have a finished piece and the basic skills to start your own leather projects. All tools and materials are provided. Bring your curiosity!

Halloween Ghost Candle Holder
We will be making tea light candle holders that look like ghosts using slabs of clay. When you put a candle in it you will see shadows projected on the walls!

Coraline Button Coaster Set
Come make a button coaster set inspired by the movie Coraline! We will be using slabs and coils to make a four coaster set with a holder. Buttons can be any pattern that you would like, but the demonstration will be for a Coraline themed set.

Pinch Pot Christmas Trees
Make either table top or hanging jingling Christmas trees out of nesting pinch pots. You can attach them to make one that sits on a shelf or table or string them together after they are fired to have a jingling ornament.

Printmaking Holiday Cards
Carve and Print your own holiday cards with MCMA! Participants will learn the basics of Relief block Printmaking as well as carve, print, and bring home multiple festive cards to send out to loved ones in the holiday season.
