Community Chalk Challenge
Team Competition
Our team competition is divided into categories by school types and include college, high school, middle school, and elementary school divisions. If you have an organized team that is not a school team, the team can register in the appropriate school age category with the age of the oldest member of the group (i.e. a scout/troop group). Teams can NOT have more than 10 members. Each division will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award, provided that there are at least 3 teams in that division.
Individual Competition
Our individual competition is divided into categories by age and include adult (18+), teen (13-17), and youth (7-12) divisions. Individuals may have one assistant but the assistant MUST fall within the same age range for the division. Each division will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award, provided that there are at least 3 registered participants in that division. If you are a college student entering into the adult individual competition, you may use the coupon code STUDENT2026 when registering to receive $10.00 off but you MUST show your student ID at check in.
Theme
This year MCMA is happy to share that we are celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with our “America the Beautiful” chalk challenge theme. This is not mandatory, but we encourage you to consider incorporating this theme into your chalk designs. You can take inspiration from American artists, musicians, writers who have shaped our country’s pop culture or consider “What is it that makes America beautiful?” Our diverse wildlife, our stunning national parks, our communities, or the way our neighbors show up for each other in times of need.
