Art Camps
Immerse your budding artist in an exciting week of creativity at MCMA’s Art Camp. With half the day dedicated to exploring 2D mediums like pastel, charcoal, pencil, marker, collage, watercolor, and acrylics, and the other half delving into 3D creations with clay and hand-building techniques, their art skills will soar.
Our youth camps are staffed by professional teaching artists, paraprofessionals, and supportive teen assistants, ensuring personalized attention. Classes are also divided by age with 7-9 years old in one class and 10-12 years old in the other. Running from 9 am to 3 pm, the schedule includes a 30-minute lunch break and two snack breaks.
Each themed week of camp brings a unique learning curriculum, ensuring a constant feed of fresh inspiration for multiple weeks of registration. Plus, there are no hidden costs – all art supplies and kiln firing are included in the camp fee.
Please note that this is a full week class. There are no partial registrations.
Youth Art Camps
The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art (MCMA) offers engaging art camps where young artists can explore various mediums, including pastel, charcoal, pencil, marker, collage, watercolor, acrylics, and clay. All art supplies and kiln firing are included in the camp fee. Classes are divided into age groups of 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old. The camps run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break and two snack breaks. Professional teaching artists, paraprofessionals, and supportive teen assistants ensure personalized attention. Each week offers a unique theme and learning curriculum, providing fresh inspiration for multiple weeks of registration.

Our inclusive week of Summer Art Camp offers a flexible and supportive enviroment for students with special needs and for preschool aged children.

Preschool Art Camp: July 6-10, 2026 - Folk Art

Does your preschooler love to paint, draw, and sculpt? Join MCMA for a week of creating and discovering the beauty of Folk Art! Play with experimental painting techniques and practice your coil building skills in ceramics class. Students will have the opportunity to practice 2D art mediums such as painting and drawing in the morning, then after a short break will sculpt beautiful 3D creations in the ceramics classroom!
Special Needs Art Camp: July 6-10, 2026 - Folk Art
- Special Needs Ages 7-17: Enroll
MCMA is excited to be offering a week long art camp for special needs students ages 7 through 17. Students and their caretakers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of Folk art making styles. Start the day with sculpting ceramic artworks in the 3D classroom and after a short break head over to the 2D classroom for painting, drawing and collage! Projects will be focused on expression and regulating emotions through the act of creating. Please let us know in advance if your student needs any specific accommodations. Facilitators are strongly encouraged to be present during the duration of class time.
Teen Art Camp
Artists ages 13-17 get to explore a wide variety of different media. Options include clay hand building with clay & throwing pottery on the wheel, wool felting, drawing media, painting, acrylic pouring, block printing, and alternative media. Each project has parameters to teach techniques specific to that medium, while still giving teens room to explore, experiment, and express themselves.
MCMA offers both a morning and afternoon class for Teen Art Camp. Students have the option to register for one or both sessions. Please note this is a full week class.
