The benefits of limiting your color palette. Mixing and blending colors. Techniques and methods that will assist you in creating your perfect work of art and of course more than anything the value of enjoying your experience as you paint like the old masters. We will work with subjects as basic as fruit to more complicated objects like glass and metal. In the end you’ll gain the needed knowledge along with some beautiful still life art created by your own hand! This is a five week course for students Ages 16 through Adults!
Meet Philip
Philip is a Marietta native and a graduate of SCAD and the Creative Circus Portfolio School. He specializes in oil on canvas and panel as well as mixed media and found object work. Philip’s work has been described as vibrant and energetic while using heavy, obvious brush strokes and thick waxy mediums to give his art texture and depth. After several years of working the festival scene, he has found his place teaching Intro to Oil and Life Drawing with the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. Finally giving him a chance to live out his dream of using his knowledge and talent alongside an established part of the Marietta Community.
