In a solo exhibition entitled Vibrant Shadows, Atlanta artist Miles Davis explores timeless subjects, such as spirituality, science, and politics, continually playing with the intersection of these topics with each other and with our modern western culture. In a style he calls “Neosurrealism,” Davis aims to nuance the visual conversation of traditional painting by placing his subjects amongst aesthetics reminiscent of his youth in the 1980s, exploring a greater societal interest that has developed in comics, video games, cartooning, and graffiti.
