Printmaking
Join the centuries of artists who have used printmaking to produce art, tell stories and spread knowledge to their communities. In this 5-week introduction to Printmaking, students will learn the basics of carving and printing, as well as techniques such as Intaglio, Cyanotype, Monoprinting and Collagraphs. Our main focus will be on Relief Block Prints. All supplies are included in the price of the class.
Please note that printmaking ink may stain clothing.

Printmaking Open Studio
Our Printmaking Open Studios offer a flexible, supportive environment where students can work at their own pace on personal projects.

Blocks, carving tools, and ink are included in the class fee. Students are welcome to bring additional materials.
Meet the Instructor
Ashley Livingston is an oil painter and printmaker from Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentrating in Painting and Printmaking. Her oil paintings often focus on endangered animals, and she aims to create work that spurs conversation about community and cultivating harmonious relationships with nature.
She is currently teaching the museum’s youth programs: MCMA Art Camps, Preschool Art, Sunday Art School, Teen Media, and Special Needs Art Enrichment. As well as adult classes for Printmaking, Oil painting, and Senior Art Enrichment.
