In this 5-week course, you will explore the art of graphite through portraiture. Students will learn to draw a portrait from their own high-quality photo to develop their observational skills and graphite drawing techniques. All skill levels are welcome. This class is for for ages 16 and up.

Meet the Instructor
Karina Spătaru Toma is an award-winning photorealist portrait artist, illustrator, and art instructor. Since 2022, Karina has instructed art classes at several art centers across the metro Atlanta area, teaching drawing, painting, and digital arts to all ages. After earning her BFA from Kennesaw State University in 2024, she started working toward becoming an illustrator and concept artist for video games and animation.
