Students will learn the basic principles of making pottery forms on the wheel. This will include throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques. More advanced students will continue to practice their techniques and skills. By the end of the course, you will have at least one finished piece.

Learn techniques for manipulating clay without using a pottery wheel. Beginner students will learn the fundamental hand-building techniques in ceramics (pinch, coil, and slab methods) and intermediate and advanced students will refine their skills. You will learn different glazing techniques and surface decoration. Your teaching artist will guide you through the methods and help you create projects around your interests. This session is appropriate for adults and youth aged 11 plus. All supplies are included; you’ll leave the class with at least one finished piece.
