Students will learn the basic techniques of glass fusing. Topics to be discussed and demonstrated will be:
- Brief history of glass fusing
- Glass compatibility
- Glass cutting
- Designing on glass
- Preparing the kiln shelf using Papyros paper release
- Discuss firing schedules
- Discuss glass project results
Each student will create one glass piece in each class – working with the equivalent of 2 – 6″ x 6″ sheets of glass. Additional supplies (2 – 6″ x 6″ inch equivalent of glass sheets are available for an additional $30.
Students will learn techniques of glass fusing. Licha will guide you through the next level of glass fusing. By the end of the 4-week course, each student will have created several glass pieces including square tiles, and square and round slumped bowls.

No instruction provided. This is an open studio session. You need to have taken a glass fusing claSs with MCMA or have prior experience with glass fusing.
